Grilled Asparagus
There are so many reasons to loved grilled asparagus…but the best of all is that you can add it to the grill when you’re making burgers, chicken or steaks! Just a few fresh ingredients and no extra time to have a delicious side dish with your entree.
As always, remember to have two bites of your lean, solid protein to every one bite of the vegetable for best post-op results!
Grilled Asparagus

Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh asparagus, bottoms trimmed off
- 1 clove fresh garlic, pressed or minced
- 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper
- 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
- Put outdoor grill on medium heat and oil or spray the grates.
- Place the trimmed asparagus to a plate and add chopped garlic, salt and pepper and olive oil. Turn asparagus several times to coat well.
- Place on grill directly or in a grill basket. Grill until tender or tips look toasted, approximately 8-10 minutes but will vary upon the thickness of the asparagus.
