Slow Cooker Sloppy Joe Bowl
Slow Cooker Sloppy Joe Bowl
Bariatric friendly Crockpot® meal
Growing up I did not like sloppy joes. When someone in the family mentioned the word “Manwhich” I’d cringe. While I still cringe at that word, my mind has opened up to the possibilities of a good sloppy joe recipe.
However, we traditionally put this meat mixture on a bun right?? I served mine with green beans instead and next time would even put it as a sauce over steamed veggies. It’s really more of a sloppy joe bowl than a traditional sloppy joe.
If you’ve had weight loss surgery, remember to keep your mixture nice and thick. A soupy mixture would leave your stomach quickly and you’re like to feel hungry or shaky sooner. Instead, use a slotted spoon to remove the mixture from your slow cooker (yes, that is the same thing as a Crockpot®)
