Simple Salmon Burgers
Simple Salmon Burgers
I love recipes that I can keep all the ingredients on hand…just in case.
Just in case I didn’t get to the store when I thought I would. Or just in case we ended up at home for a meal I thought we were eating out. Just in case my husband ate all the leftovers that I had planned on for lunch.
This meal is just that. Canned salmon in the pantry is a great idea just because of this recipe. Canned meats are also less expensive and wonderful for a budget shopper like myself. Make up a batch and eat them for lunch or serve the family a really quick dinner
If you haven’t worked with canned salmon, don’t be weirded out by the skin or tiny bones it may contain. There is a lot of iron and omega-3 fatty acids in these parts and you won’t notice them when it’s all mixed into these salmon burgers! 😉
Simple Salmon Burgers
Ingredients
- 1 (14.75 oz) can Salmon
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1/2 tsp each salt & pepper
- 1 tsp dried minced garlic or 1 clove fresh
Instructions
- Heat a large nonstick griddle to medium-high heat on the stove.
- In a large mixing bowl, add all ingredients and mix well until combined.
- Divide mixture into 4 separate patties. Add to griddle pan.
- Cook on each side about 4 minutes or until them seem cooked (no longer soft but more firmed up and don't fall apart as easily). Serve alone or with dijon mustard. Great with a spinach salad.
